Wuhan, together with 11 cities from Central China's Hubei province, such as Xiangyang, Yichang and Huangshi, will jointly host the Wuhan Metropolitan Area Flower Exhibition from April 29 to May 5.
Wuhan's parks will hold over 70 colorful events during the May Day holiday, and as the core exhibition area of the flower show, Shahu Lake Park will host Peking Opera performances, live music concerts, and intangible cultural heritage shows.
To enrich flower-viewing experiences, Zhongshan Park and Wuhan Zoo in the city will hold exhibitions about science and culture, and organize nature study tours.
Both locals and visitors can join Wuhan's "Park Classroom" sessions on themes such as floral design, wetland exploration, and birds, allowing children to learn about nature while having fun.

With an area of 37,000 square meters, Xiaogan Olympic Sports Park will serve as the main exhibition area with about 100 species of flowers, featuring themes around the 17th Hubei Provincial Games to be held in Xiaogan city this year.
Visitors can take photos at installations and tour different booths to sample snacks, farm produce and other local specialties. Urban parks, squares, commercial complexes and residential communities will also be decorated with flowers.
Qianjiang has turned the whole city into a garden without walls. In recent years, the city has launched a campaign to make full use of vacant lots, small corner spaces and scattered empty plots across the city for planting flowers like Chinese roses and evening primroses, turning beautiful floral scenery into a part of daily life.
Nearly 500,000 square meters of flowers across the city are expected to be in full bloom in early May. Whether local residents or tourists, anyone walking along Qianjiang's streets and alleys will find flowers around every corner and take great photos.
It's also the peak harvest season for crayfish. Tourists can go crayfish fishing and savor the crayfish dishes amid the sea of flowers in Qianjiang, which is a major crayfish production area.
