The China National Silk Museum is launching the special exhibition "Opening the Wardrobe of the Southern Song Dynasty" on Mar 27.
The event focuses on the clothing aesthetics and social customs of the Southern Song Dynasty, exploring ancient Jiangnan lifestyle and traditional marriage etiquette.
It showcases hundreds of exquisite silk garments and artifacts unearthed from the tombs of Zhao Boyun and Huang Sheng, featuring imperial embroidery and ultra-light Fuzhou gauze that is "as sheer as mist."
