Elegance of Eastern Splendor - Traditional Chinese Clothing Exhibition
Running from March 27 to October 10, the "Elegance of Eastern Splendor" Traditional Chinese Clothing Exhibition is currently on display at the Beijing Folklore Museum. This spectacular showcase explores the evolution of Chinese attire, reflecting millennia of etiquette, folklore, and profound craftsmanship.
The exhibition features nearly 50 exquisite sets of traditional garments divided into three thematic sections: Historical, Ritual, and Festival Clothing. Visitors can admire iconic classical styles like the pre-Qin Shenyi (deep robe) and Han dynasty Quju (curved-hem robe). Notably, the exhibits will be specially rotated twice during the upcoming Dragon Boat and Mid-Autumn festivals to present unique seasonal outfits.
Beyond static displays, the event offers a thrilling blend of tradition and modern technology. With interactive AI digital dress-up photo booths and MR (Mixed Reality) devices, visitors can virtually try on stunning ancient garments and immerse themselves in the timeless elegance of traditional Chinese culture.
