Major commercial banks, including the Big Five (ICBC, ABC, Bank of China, CCB, and Bank of Communications), joint-stock banks like China Merchants Bank and CITIC Bank, as well as foreign banks such as HSBC and Standard Chartered, all provide foreign currency exchange services.
Fee Policy:
Bank of China: Generally no additional exchange fee
Other Banks: Service charges apply:
ICBC: 0.5%~1% of transaction amount
CCB: 1% fee
CMB: 0.1% (min. ¥5, max. ¥150)
