The Female Attendant Admonishing the Court Lady (Partial, Consort Ban) is housed in the British Museum and is attributed to Gu Kaizhi from the Jin Dynasty. It retains the original basic composition but is filled with vitality. In this artwork, the sedan carriers have transformed into dynamic figures. Consort Ban's figure is proportionate, and her elegant profile creates a strong contrast with the rough movements of the sedan carriers. The focus of the painting shifts from literary symbolism to the aesthetics of painting.
