Acupuncture Therapy

Acupuncture therapy, also called needing or pricking therapy, is a healing method used by acupuncturists to stimulate acupoints or meridians with different types of needles. It has a wide range of indications and effects, in addition to its easy operation, safety and low cost. Nine kinds of needles were developed in the Spring and Autumn Period (770B. C. -221 B. C. ) . They were shear needle, round-pointed needle, spoon needle, lance needle, stiletto needle, round-sharp needle, filiform needle, long needle and big needle used for different conditions. All modern needles are derived from the nine kinds of needles, among which the filiform needle is the most commonly used.
