The Xizang Autonomous Region is one of the five autonomous regions for ethnic minorities in the People's Republic of China. It is located in the southwest of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. It not only boasts the unique geological landforms and distinctive natural scenery of the "Roof of the World", but also features a unique social and cultural landscape.
