Poetic Dance Drama: Only This Green

The highly acclaimed poetic dance drama Only This Green, a breathtaking theatrical adaptation of the legendary Song Dynasty masterpiece A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains, will grace the Hangzhou Canal Grand Theater from April 2 to April 5.

Directed by Zhou Liya and Han Zhen, this Wenhua Award-winning production follows the perspective of a modern Palace Museum researcher. Through an unfolding scroll, the audience is guided across time to witness the intricate traditional craftsmanship—from seal engraving to silk weaving and ink quenching—that birthed this 11.92-meter-long blue-green landscape.
