Annual jazz festival returns for its 22nd edition with a record 17-day program

The 22nd JZ Festival transforms Shanghai's Qiantan waterfront along the Huangpu River into an open-air jazz paradise from October 16 to November 1, featuring over 146 performances by more than 100 musicians from 29 countries and regions across 13 parks, theaters, and shopping streets.
Except for ticketed indoor concerts, all outdoor performances and forums are free to the public. The festival serves as the centerpiece of the 2026 New Bund Chillout, which runs from September 20 to November 1 in Pudong. Since its debut in 2005, it has grown into China's largest jazz festival and Asia's second-largest, with last year's edition drawing 1.23 million visitors.
