Shanghai Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2026 will commence on March 25, spanning multiple districts, including Huangpu, Jing'an, and Pudong New Area.

The event promises a citywide fashion experience, with innovative presentations at iconic venues like Xintiandi and Yongyuan Road.

The opening show, presented by local brand HPLY, is centered around "fairy tales for grown-ups", featuring unique silhouettes and luxurious fabrics. The closing show by EP Yaying will highlight contemporary oriental aesthetics. From March 25, EP Yaying will also unveil its new collection at the MODE trade show to global buyers.

Maison Margiela will host a special exhibition from April 2 to 6.


As a grand finale, Maison Margiela will host the global debut of its AW 2026 collection on April 1, followed by a special exhibition from April 2 to 6. According to organizers, the exhibition will blend the brand's timeless classics with avant-garde designs, celebrating its craftsmanship and artistic heritage.

"Shanghai, as a cosmopolitan hub, epitomizes the fusion of Eastern and Western creativity," said a Maison Margiela spokesperson.

"This event is a chance to draw inspiration from China's dynamic growth."

Chinese independent design remains central to Shanghai Fashion Week. The Xintiandi runway will feature influential independent designers like Feng Chen Wang and Susan Fang. Brands such as Hemu and Suncun highlight modern takes on traditional Chinese culture, while Aura Fenggy and Moution merge technology with fashion.

Several international events will also take place. "Adidas Presents: Originals Salon" will run from March 26 to 29 at Yongfu Road, showcasing the "Anfu" and "Changle" shoes. A Fabrique x Vera Wang pop-up will be at HKRI Taikoo Hui from March 26 to April 8.

The MODE fashion trade show will collaborate with showrooms like DFO and ALTER, offering a platform for brand display and networking, with buyers from Italy's Antonioli and France's Printemps Paris attending.

Concurrently, the M Space forum will feature industry leaders like executives of EP Yaying and Adidas Greater China, discussing long-term brand strategies. A roundtable will explore how Chinese brands can develop resilient creative identities to meet consumer demands.
