Medals for 15th National Games Unveiled, Named "Leaping in Unity"
The medals for the 15th National Games of China were officially unveiled, named "Leaping in Unity" (同心跃). The design integrates the dynamic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the richness of Chinese culture, and the legacy of the National Games.
According to the design team, the medals for competitive sports weigh 354.5 grams. One side features the Games emblem at the top, formed by interwoven petals symbolizing the three regions—Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao—twisting into a concentric firework. Below, a peony rises upward, representing the Greater Bay Area thriving with the nation's strong support and contributing to national rejuvenation. The reverse side depicts the mascot, a Chinese white dolphin, holding a torch, surrounded by wave-like numerals "15", blending the Games' edition with the spirit of sportsmanship.
The medals for mass sports events weigh 232 grams. One side bears the emblem and the Games' name, while the other showcases a relief of the Chinese white dolphin mascot and the inscription "Promote sports to enhance people's health" (发展体育运动 增强人民体质), embodying the principle of "National Games for All, Games Benefiting the People."
In finer details, the medal clasp adopts the shape of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge's "knot of unity," symbolizing solidarity and shared development among the three regions. The medal's rim is engraved with 66 grooves, marking the 66-year history of the National Games. The ribbon features a "three flowers reflecting the peony" pattern, symmetrically printed with the Games emblem, host locations, and date.
The 15th National Games will be held from November 9 to 21, 2025, across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
