Meet in the Metropolis: Where Xizang Tradition Dances with Modernity
From December 19 to 23, the “Diverse Civilizations, Shared Community” Global Youth Multidimensional Dialogue—Asia Session (Singapore and Malaysia) was successfully held. The event was co-hosted by the International Culture Association of the Xizang Autonomous Region and the CICG Center for International Cultural Communication.
During the program, the Xizang Song and Dance Troupe brought cultural exchange beyond traditional venues and onto city streets, presenting themed flash mob performances in Malaysia under the banner of “Diverse Civilizations, Shared Community”. The fusion of traditional Xizang song and dance with modern urban settings created a lively and engaging atmosphere, drawing tourists from around the world to stop, watch and share the experience. The performances allowed the unique charm of the Snowland civilization to shine across Southeast Asia, while also vividly reflecting the deep-rooted friendship between China and Malaysia. The event offered a compelling illustration of the idea that civilizations grow richer through exchange and thrive through mutual learning.
