2026 Hohhot City Happy Naadam Festival opens

The 2026 Hohhot Happy Naadam Festival opened at the Daheihe Military Culture Park on July 3, offering visitors and residents an immersive summer cultural and tourism experience through August 31. Breaking the traditional geographic limits of Naadam, the festival brings grassland charm right into the city with a diverse lineup of intangible cultural heritage crafts, trendy entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

Visitors can try archery, grassland tug-of-war, beanbag toss, and bokh (Mongolian wrestling), with interactive challenges unlocking hidden perks. After dark, the park transforms with intangible cultural heritage performances, molten iron fireworks, waterfall fireworks, and electronic music parties — blending traditional folk arts with modern entertainment to create a distinctive summer nightlife landmark in Hohhot.
