NCPA's Ultimate Art Feast - Opera Films & International Theatre Festival

Art lovers, rejoice! The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) is bringing a spectacular double feast to Beijing and beyond for the second half of 2026.

First, the 10th NCPA International Opera Film Exhibition has already kicked off on June 6. Running until November 30, this cinematic event brings 22 top-tier productions from 14 countries to the big screen. Spanning classic operas (The Magic Flute), musicals (Rodgers & Hammerstein's 80th Anniversary Concert), ballets, and 8K traditional Chinese operas, it offers an immersive way to experience global stage arts at an accessible price.

Following closely, the 2026 NCPA International Theatre Festival will raise its curtains on June 12. Over 136 days, audiences can enjoy more than 100 live performances across four dynamic sections. Highlights include global theatrical masterpieces starring icons like Isabelle Huppert, deeply rooted Chinese traditional plays, innovative youth productions, and an intriguing cross-cultural Mime Festival.
