An extraordinary ancient bronze vessel unearthed from the Panlongcheng site in Wuhan, Hubei province.
Standing 18.5 centimeters tall, this finely crafted artifact features a distinctive design that blends elements of several ancient ritual wine vessels into a single elegant form. Its surface is adorned with symmetrical decorative patterns and prominent animal-mask motifs, hallmarks of Bronze Age artistry. More than 3,000 years after it was cast, the vessel continues to showcase the creativity, craftsmanship and cultural sophistication of the Shang civilization.
