Among the ancient Chinese classics, the Three Character Classic is one of the easiest to understand. The “Three Character Classic” is based on allusions, including literature, history, philosophy, astronomy, geography, human ethics, loyalty, filial piety and justice of traditional Chinese culture.

“Three Character Classic”, formerly known as “Xunmengwen”, in the form of popular words and three-character rhyme, expounds the essentials of learning, the principles of life, and the common sense of politeness in dealing with people and things. “Thousand Characters”, formerly known as “The Book of Thousand Characters by Wang Xizhi”, is a long rhyme used to teach basic Chinese characters to children. It is an article composed of a thousand non-repeating Chinese characters. As a children’s enlightenment reading material, Qianziwen, together with “Three Character Classic” and “Hundred Family Surnames”, is collectively called “Three Hundred Thousands”.
