Did you know that Confucius proposed an important moral point from a farm tool?
At about age 46, Confucius visited the ancestral temple of Duke Huan of Lu in the company of his disciples. There he found a water container used for irrigation. He told his disciples that the container would incline to one side when there was no water in it; it would keep upright when water reached the middle; and if water filled more than a half of it, it would overturn. Through this example, he gave advice to his disciples that none of them should be self-satisfied.
