An Exchange Meeting Of Time Machine In Jinan

Recently, a reader sharing event of a set of book called Time Machine was held at the Shandong International Convention and Exhibition Center. The author Bian Jiahua and the chief editor Li Beishan introduced the creation background of the book, shared the creative process and their reading experiences with readers and relived every warm moment on site.

Bian Jiahua, Mr. Feng Zikai's disciple, produced the set of book which depicts more than 600 pictures of the changes of China's society over 70 years (1949 to 2019), tells daily stories of Chinese people, witnesses social progress and the new era and shows aesthetic style of China.

The book Time Machine is divided into five volumes, depicting the social changes in China over the past few decades and the daily lives of the people with over 600 pictures. Bian has been depicting the lives of Chinese people and their sincere emotions for decades. What he depicts is the daily life of every Chinese person, with every detail, experience, and insight turned into nostalgia that cannot be returned. In this book, the daily life history of the Chinese people constitutes a wonderful historical landscape, which is both emotional and perceptible history, as well as rational and narrative life. To some extent, the book Time Machine depicts the epic of Chinese people’s life.

At the scene, Bian first shared with readers the creative process of Time Machine. He said that these pictures are the reflection of the recent, living and human history. Many things have changed in time while many things remain invariant. For Bian himself, what changes is the work, and what remains invariant is his pursuit.

After Bian's sharing, Professor Li Beishan, the chief editor, scholar, and publisher of the series of book, tells readers his understanding of Bian. Li said that Time Machine is an epic of Chinese life which contains Bian's perception, observation, and record of Chinese society and life for over 70 years. This series of book is Bian's inheritance of Mr. Feng's artistic spirit. Through his creation, Bian passes Mr. Fengs artistic spirit through the mist of time and space, illuminating the hearts of current Chinese people, and providing a different spiritual reference.

After that, Bian exchanged reading comprehension with the readers in Jinan and signed the books purchased by the readers personally. Both the author and the readers jumped on the time machine together to discover the changes and invariant in the long river of time.
